Briefintroduction of the HWFL mathematical teaching and researching team:

“The way ahead is long; I see no ending, yet high andlow I will search with my will unbending.”

In the spirit of creationand improvement, all the members of the mathematical teaching and researchingteam have been continuously working on the study of educational theory andmathematical expertise and on the research of teaching methods and learning styles.The team has integrated textbooks of People’s Education Press, ShanghaiEducational Publishing House and East China Normal University Press and hasbeen practicing methods learned from these sources. Over the past three years,the team has launched a series of teaching and research activities forcurriculum, the best teaching materials, lesson preparations, how to discuss ideas,exercise design, teaching reflections, remedial teachings, web-based coursesand extended courses. After times of practice, exploration and adjustment, theteam has gained valuable experiences and formed its distinctive “four in one” teachingmethod including practice, learning, thinking and joy. The team has learned tomaximize the benefits of students’ enthusiasms and interests of learningmathematics, the development of stimulating students into thinking deeply,studying carefully, exploring constantly and the joy of gaining success throughdifficulties and hard work. It is the team’s final purpose to help the studentsdemonstrate their intelligence, experience the euphoria of academic success andsee mathematics as a friend.
